Prof. Woods is Director of the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre at the University of Limerick, and is a member of UL’s Health Research Institute. Prof. Woods’ research cuts across the HRI themes of lifestyle, health and technology. She enjoys developing and testing theoretically sound interventions to change population levels of physical activity, and seeks better, more systematic methods of bringing research, practice and policy closer together to achieve real and sustainable impact. Prof. Woods believes that physical activity is a best buy for public health as it has the potential to improve health and wellbeing for everyone, irrespective of age, ability or condition. Dr. Woods has successfully trained 10 PhD and 6 MSc research students, and currently has one research fellow and five post-doctoral researchers, four full-time research assistants and five PhD students within her physical activity for health research team.

Cassie is currently a PhD candidate on the GoGreenRoutes project at Maynooth University. Her focus is on collaborating with established researchers on the development of a new construct and measure relating to the Human-Nature Relationship. This has been done through a modified Delphi method in which she interviewed both researchers and individuals with lived experiences of maintaining strong relationships with nature, be that through work or recreation. Cassie holds a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology and an MA in Psychology, both from the University of Limerick, and has worked at National College of Ireland as a Psychology Lab Technician. 

Prof. Christopher Raymond is a Professor in Sustainability Science with a specific focus on Sustainability Transformations and Ecosystem Services in the University of Helsinki. In his research, he examines the multiple ways in which people value nature, and develops new approaches for the co-evaluation and co-implementation of nature-based solutions to address inter-linked climate and biodiversity crises. He leads the Human-Nature Transformations research group that develops inter-and trans-disciplinary approaches for recognising diverse human-nature relationships and promoting transformations toward a just, healthy and sustainable future. Christopher is a globally top 1% cited researcher and currently has a leading role in over 4 million Euros of inter-and trans-disciplinary research projects.

Chris Gidlow is a Professor of Applied Health Research, and former Director of the Centre for Health and Development (CHAD), Staffordshire University, and a Fellow of the national Faculty of Public Health. He has a track record of research around natural environments and health and led city-level evaluations of national programmes to improve support for people experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Ciaran Cuffe is an Urbanist and was an MEP for the Green Party. Ciaran has been  working for a greener Dublin for over 30 years: as a Councillor for the North Inner City, as TD for Dún Laoghaire, as Minister of State with responsibility for climate change, and most recently as Dublin’s Green MEP. His priority is making laws that will provide a better quality of life for Dubliners. Decent and affordable housing, quality public transport with fairer fares, cleaner air, and a sparkling Dublin Bay is the future he wants for Dublin. He was a member of the European Parliament for over five years.

Claudio is currently a professor at the University of Bern and has been in this position for over four years. He is a professor with expertise in Health Behavior Change. Claudio is skilled in Theory, Epidemiology, Research Design, Program Evaluation, Program Development, and Grant Writing and is currently the Co-Chair for the Scientific Oversight Panel for EU project GoGreenRoutes and is a member of the advisory board for GoGreen Next. He has a strong educational background with a PhD in Psychology and Behavioural Medicine from the University of Rhode Island.
